Burlap Wreath

I am in love with burlap. You might even say that I have a small addiction to the stuff. When I came across this idea for a burlap wreath, I knew it would be perfect for my front door. I just love the way Debbie used the black and white check & toile ribbon. It just seemed to pop! So off I went to hobby lobby to find some of that great ribbon. I used two yards of the burlap that I cut into strips. I added the strips of burlap to an old wire coat hanger that I had in the back of the closet. After weaving all the burlap onto the hanger, I did notice a problem with the burlap slipping to the bottom of my 'wreath form'. So, I pulled out my hot glue gun and glued the burlap into place on different areas of the hanger. Loved it!!!! But it's summer now and I wanted a little more pop of color. I am loving green these days. I pulled out my scrapbook paper and covered my 'C' with it. I tore the edges to give it interest. Then I remembered this lovely little green butterfly that I found at Pier1 several years ago. I pinned them to the bottom corner and ~voila~ beautiful!
